【Dec.18 Franco-Japanese Seminar on “Developing Evidence-Based Infectious Diseases Control in Asia and Africa”: Partial change of program】

Dear Participants to the above Seminar, Dear readers,

We regret to inform you of a major change in the program. To our great regret, Dr. Amadou Sall (Institut Pasteur de Dakar) has to cancel his trip to Japan due to some unexpected reason that occurred locally and consequently the lecture “on Responding to the epidemic in Africa---an example of the epidemic of Ebola virus disease in 2013-2016" will have to be cancelled.

Instead, the program will be modified as follows :
14:50 – 15:30
“On Designing studies that can respond to African needs --- an example of Hepatitis B control in West Africa” by Dr. Yusuke SHIMAKAWA (Permanent Researcher, Pasteur Institute)

15:50 – 16:10
"Fight against tuberculosis in Asia and Africa: from multi-site field evaluation to the WHO's recommendation of TB LAMP” by Dr. Yasuyoshi MORI (Eiken Chemical Co., Ltd.)
16:10 – 16:30
“The future 5-Aminolevulinic acid will forge: The action on elimination of malaria with the new drug.”

The other parts of the program will remain unchanged.
